New Product of the Week: Ring Box!

Hello!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend and stayed safe. Welcome back to reality, sadly. I would like to present the product of the week: a ring box!

This is a colorful way to store your rings. It fits up to 6 rings as you can see here:

The black part that holds the rings are made out of soft hair curler rolls. It secures your rings, so when you flip it upside down, the rings don't fall out.

Pretty awesome, if I may say so.

I've been behind on the updates, but better late than never, right?

Well, better get to it then. I've been making a lot of products for the jewelry line I got going. But I took a break to create this cute coaster set.

I tweaked the color and the titles to fit my liking. Then I stitched the bottom with felt to prevent scratches on the furnitures.

If you can recall on my last blog entry - where I talked about the creativity of making jewelry out of plastic canvas. From that inspiration, I've made some bracelets and earrings. Definitely what I would wear out myself.

Bling it with Plastic Canvas

Hello everyone,

Sorry for my slow progress with the blog, but I promise I will do better this time around. I had to take a mini break then I fell ill. *sigh* But it's all good. I've been working hard doing my projects, and I will reveal them soon enough.

I wanted to blog about this really cool blog I came across while "researching." This creative blogger makes necklace pendants out of plastic canvas! Sometimes even I forget that there are three basic types of plastic canvas, with the 7-count being the most popular version. Anyway, this sparked some creativity on my end so I'm creating some products and hope to reveal them soon enough (or whenever I get over these annoying migraines!).

Product of the Week - Rainbow iPhone Case

Welcome back!

Now presenting my new product of the week: Rainbow iPhone case!

Ta-da!

It comes with a flap that you insert in a slot on the front. I tested it with my iPhone and it doesn't slide out easily. Unless, of course, you plan on jerking it around and throwing it against the wall. I'm not responsible for that one.

This case is very simple. It stylishly holds the phone. You even can plug in your headphone without having to take your phone out.

Purses in Plastic Canvas, oh la la!

I used to have a thing for purses, but lately it has been all about the pockets. This was a sign that I was slowly losing my feminine touch, then I saw this projects:

 Awesomeness.

Projects like this brings out the accessory fashionista in me. I'll definitely be giving this project a try. Love the idea of using felt for the interior - I'll have to keeping it mind for future projects. For the tutorial, go here.

Some of you might not know that there are pre-cut plastic canvas sheets to buy. I bought mine from Joann's for $1.49. I actually found a seller on Etsy, selling the same thing for $1.50 plus shipping. Whichever rocks your boat.

Maybe I didn't start with a random  color, but I like to play it safe when I do new projects. That way it allows me to make all the mistakes possible and make note along the way. Trust me, if I wrote down all the mistakes I made, I would have an epic book on my hands.

So I may not be the sharpest dresser or a very fashion- forward person, but I do like my bling-bling and my accessories. They can either make or break the outfit. I decided on a red color and added some bling to it. It'll be perfect with a black or a white dress. 

However, I wouldn't know a thing or two about matching. I'm the one who goes out with jeans, gray flip-flops, green shirt, and a bright blue purse. At least I have color in my wardrobe.


Bottom line: have some patient, pick out your color, get the pre-cut purse sheet (can even make one out of a square sheet), and get stitching! 

Note: cutting out from a square sheet, might make your purse squarish. However, if that's the look you're going for, then by all means, go for it!

Keep Calm and...

Keep Calm and (fill in the blank)

I created a "Keep Calm and Bake On" sign stitched in plastic canvas with spray-painted picture frame. Why did I spray paint it, you may ask. Well, here's the thing - I hate to waste things. The frame has been laying around my house and I couldn't bring myself to toss it out. So I decided to create a "Keep Calm and..." product. I figured why not with a frame? I choose cream for the letters and pink for the background.

Anyway, the frame was originally black, and I'm such a perfectionist that I couldn't leave it like that. I decided to spray paint it white. I like the spray paint because it easier than trying to paint on a non-porous surface. So a few coats of that and voila!

So cute, right? I just gotta find the right spot for it in my little kitchen...

Product of the Week: Pocket Wallets

Welcome to my second "Product of the Week" post! Yay, so far, so good.

What the Wallet!

 I've created very simple (but cute!) wallets for people on the go. Some of us like those elaborated wallets to put in our pennies, slide in our ten credit cards, a pocket to preserve the Benjamins, and that hideous plastic thing that basically says we're licensed to drive.

Then there's people who just need three things: license, credit card, and some double-folded Washingtons. So for those simpletons, I decided to make pocket wallets which are simple and serve their purposes - in style, of course.

 Like I said, very simple and to the point. A slot to slide in your things and off you go!

Of course, I couldn't leave out the male population so here's my "masculine" pocket wallet.

I even threw in monogrammed ones.

Product of the Week: Diamond Baby Mobile

Welcome to the first "Product Update" for the week! Yippy!

Okay, what I have for you guys today is: Diamond Baby Mobile

A custom order diamond baby mobile! Yes, it's a darling, if I may say so.  It's consists of 8 strings of four diamond shapes on each string. The length is about 25 inches. I used an 8-inch hoop frame to hold them up.

My inspiration for this mobile came from JennaEBee13. I love her work, so colorful.

Get Plasticified!

Welcome to my Plasticified blog!

Making plastic canvas projects is one of my favorite pass time. I love it because working with plastic canvas gives you the creative flexibility to create a variety of things. We all know that plastic canvases make great tissue box covers. But I like to think just outside of the box.

So with that said, I decided I would open my own little shop on Etsy. With a lot of brainstorming and a few toss and turns in the middle of the night, I came up with the name - Plasticified. Clever? I hope so.

However, I'm a bit shy about promoting it. I just make things and post it quietly. Unfortunately, we live in a world of advertising and promotion, yada yada. So I gotta do what I gotta do ,and get my shop name out there. What better place than to start here?
